Church History
Hope UCC's 1st service was April 1964, Rockledge, FL. We have been blessed over 50 years with amazing Pastors. In the 80's we expanded our facilities with a Social Hall. During this time, we were able to pay off our mortgage as well as purchase an electronic organ. In the 2000's we expanded again by adding on a Narthex. We also established a Memorial Garden during this time. Hope UCC became an Open and Affirming Church as well.
Pastoral Leadership
Rev. Karen began her calling to Hope UCC on June 11th, 2018 as the designated pastor. Karen graduated from Bowling Green in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal & Public Communication. Karen received her Master of Divinity from the Methodist Theological School in Delaware, OH, in 1997. After seminary, she served in two rural Kansas churches. While Karen was completing Clinical Pastoral Education, she served as Chaplain with Halifax Health - Hospice. During this time, she not only facilitated grief groups but also coordinated grief camps for children. Starting in 2001 she was Associate Minister of Christian Education and Spiritual Development for 6 years at Windemere Union Church, a UCC Church.
