Wheelbarrow Ministry For the Brevard Sharing Center
A weekly collection of non perishable food items are collected at Hope UCC to help fill the shelves at the Central Brevard Sharing Center for their food pantry. There is an ongoing need for groceries for needy families, and the Sharing Center does an amazing job of feeding clients and dispensing food. They also have two amazing Thrift Shops where people can purchase clothing, furniture and a great variety of items. You can help the sharing center by purchasing some items with your weekly groceries and bringing them to church on Sun-day. Bookmarks are available in the sanctuary entryway that detail the food items most needed by the sharing center. www.sharingcenter.org

T-Shirt & Sock Drive
Brevard’s United Way and Volunteers of America are in charge of this year’s Homeless Census Count. Each year volunteers go into the community, to area shelters, known homeless camps, and daily kitchens to take census of our homeless families. Each person who participates in the 6census count receives new white t-shirts and socks. Hope UCC collects men’s and women’s NEW, WHITE t-shirts and socks to give out to the homeless during the count.
Hope United Church of Christ members support the local community by organizing (2) blood drives annually.
FACT Team Christmas Party
Hope UCC members helps to host the annual Florida Assertive Action Team (FACT) Christmas Party in the church social hall. FACT is a program that supports individuals with a systematic approach to relieving the primary symptoms and life results of mental illnesses.
Hope United Church of Christ collects schools supplies for local elementary schools to help teachers keep their supply cabinet stocked with paper/pencil/pens/scissors/ tissues and hand sanitizer. Often teachers are left to supply some of their students basic school supply needs when their caregivers cannot afford them. The supply drive generally occurs in July just prior to the start of school
