Wheelbarrow Ministry For the Brevard Sharing Center A weekly collection of non perishable food items are collected at Hope UCC to help fill the shelves at the Central Brevard Sharing Center for their food pantry. There is an ongoing need for groceries for needy families, and the Sharing Center does an amazing job of feeding clients and dispensing food. They also have two amazing Thrift Shops where people can purchase clothing, furniture and a great variety of items. You can help the sharing center by purchasing some items with your weekly groceries and bringing them to church on Sun-day. Bookmarks are available in the sanctuary entryway that detail the food items most needed by the sharing center. www.sharingcenter.org

Crochet/Knit/Stitch for Babies Hope United Church of Christ has a small group of individual dedicated to supporting a program at Holmes Regional Medical Center’s Neonatal Birth Unit who have lost their child either from fetal demise (before birth), still birth or 1-2 days after birth. Meg, the social worker who leads the Neonatal Birth Unit’s grieving parents program at Holmes Regional, has mentioned having a need for blankets, hats, booties, mittens, and bunting sacks for these VERY tiny infants. The ministry at Hope UCC lets God move us in our own ways to create these very personal items with our own hearts and hands. The handmade items are made of any color (all different parents choose all different colors and designs) but need to be “baby” yarn softness. Blankets can be made from fabric, knit or crochet.
